We celebrated our 10 year anniversary in 2012. Jesus has been building his church for over 2000 years. As his church grows, new local churches are continuing to be planted across the world. Our church is just one part of this.
2. What do you believe?
The message central to the Bible is called the ‘gospel’ – the ‘great news’ of God’s victory over sin and death through Jesus’ death and resurrection. This good news shows us that we are more flawed and rebellious against God than we ever realised, yet in Jesus are more loved and forgiven than we ever thought possible. For more details see our beliefs page.
3. How are morning and night church different?
Morning church meets at 10am, Night Church (pictured) meets at 5pm. Both are similar in their focus on the gospel of Jesus – we sing, pray, read from the Bible, and hear a similar message from the Bible at both. Some prefer morning church because it is larger and has a childrens program. Others prefer night church because, although growing, it is not as big, and children and youth are encouraged to participate the whole time. Many of us love both. Visitors are always welcome at either.
4. Is your church only for families with children?
No. We do have many families with children, yet we also have singles and couples with no children. All are welcome. While it can be great to have others who are similar to us, the gospel of Jesus enables us to love and interact with people who are different from us – including those from different generations or backgrounds.
5. Are you associated with any other churches?
Our church is a member of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches whose passion is to bring the message about Jesus to all of Australia! We seek to partner with others who proclaim the gospel of Jesus both in Australia and overseas (see our Mission Partners page).
6. Where can we find you?
We meet each Sunday at Maitland Grossmann High School at 10am and 5pm (Enter off Cumberland Street, East Maitland). Google Map
